Hemp Fireball Detox Tonic

If you've read our nutritionist contributor Carissa Anne's Do's and Don'ts of Detoxing  you'll remember that when detoxing it's all about supporting your gut and liver to do what they are already doing day in and day out, but up the anti.

Cut out the rubbish foods, remove the booze, knock off the processed sugar and instead opt for a wide variety fresh fruits and vegetables {especially the green ones}, whole grains , good fats and – a quality protein as this will ensure you are getting the perfect mix of protein, vitamins, minerals and antioxidants.

Start your morning with some ACV or fresh lemon and ginger shots as this will stimulate your liver to produce bile, increase your consumption of medicinal foods such as ginger, garlic, chilli and incorporate fermented foods into your diet daily such as sauerkraut, kombucha and kim-chi.

Equally as helpful can be the addition of herbs such as Dandelion root, St Mary’s Thistle, Globe Artichoke and Turmeric.

We've created this neat little recipe to tick a few of these boxes to kick start a detox day: 

  • Time to make: 5 mins 
  • Lasts: 3 days in the fridge
  • Makes - about 100mls 


  • 30mls Hemple hemp seed oil - for healthy omega 3 and 6 fatty acids 
  • 30mls Apple Cider Vinegar (we use Braggs which has "the mother") - to stimulate the liver 
  • 3 teaspoons of Hemple RAW - for protein, more omegas, magnesium, iron, zinc, calcium and vitamin B1 
  • 1 teaspoon of turmeric 
  • Pinch of chilli flakes
  • Pinch of pepper - to ensure the turmeric is bioavailable 

Shake it all up and use 1/3 of the bottle over 3 days, then make again.

This IS NOT FOR THE FAINT HEARTED (as you've probably gathered by reading through the ingredients list!!)

We like to shot this and follow up with a glass of filtered water.
